Merry Christmas!

Well first off, Merry Christmas! Hope you ignore what corporations want this holiday to be, and see it for what it really is.

In other news, Legit Torrents reached 200 torrents recently. Our member base is still growing as well. If you havn't joined yet, your missing out!

If your bored over the holidays, here is a classic movie free (and legal) for download: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Life Isn't Easy.

Life is not easy. So much going on, so much not going on. So much that should happen but doesn't, so much that shouldn't happen, but does. Don't let yourself end up like me. Straight of out high school with a whole world full of regret. Guess you just need to turn back to what matters.

Here is a verse I will share with you, means something to me right now, maybe it will to you too:

Philippians 4:6
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;"

Talk to him, yell at him, argue with him. Perhaps you can change his heart? I wish I could find the verse that talks about David praying and changing the heart of God (if you know it, please tell me!). Which is quite strange in itself seeing as he is God and has everything planned already ect. Think about that.

Please pray for me.

*Large Sigh*

So Rachelle is back and I should be happy right? Well I'm not. We aren't together, and it's looking as if we never will be again. So I'll skip the curse words and just get straight to the part where I tell you my life is a waste. Done.

Another Lonley Christmas?

Will I be spending yet another Christmas alone? Last year was amazing with Rachelle, and I can only hope and pray she comes back before this one... I was recently looking at her xanga, and I decided to find the first post she mentioned me in. Well after 30 min I found that she mentioned me the day after the first time we met. What that has to do with anything, I don't know. I guess the pain hasn't gone. I Love her so much. Here is a disturbing picture to make your read worth while:

Some short updates:

*The Wii rocks, and has already won the console war in my opinion.

*Chipotle never gets old!

*Still no job, the position I would have had at Circuit City was cut.

*No one ever hangs out in a large group any more and that sucks.

*Torrop is still growing quite well.

*Legit Torrents is also!

*I still miss my best friend.

Don't forget The Pwn Z0ne is coming up this Friday!

.Updates on Life

Here are some updates in the world I live:

I still have no Job. Hopefully that will change tomorrow. I am still single, that will probably never change. I am getting distracted by the Travel Channel.

Saturday night, Chris, Lee, Dan, Ty and myself camped out at Toys R' Us for the Wii pre-orders. We were told the manager would hand them out at 7:00 when he got there. An hour later we decided to just go to Church since we were all wet and freezing (it was snowing out). Long story short I have no pre-order, gay.

Anyway, after nodding off a few times in service (thanks to Bekah for hitting me and keeping me awake!) we all went out to Chipotle! It being Bekah's time and other Church's having free burrito coupons, most of us ate free.

Today I did pretty much nothing as usual, but I did get around to doing some more art:

Screw Fall

Just my opinion about the season of which we are in.

Need sleep...

Fall Advance 2006 was great!! I went as a leader this year, and loved every moment of it. Well, it was a bit sad at once point to realize that a year ago all my senior friends were there with me, but other than that it was good!

My back is currently angry with me for sleeping a hard wood bench that was right under the window for 2 days. All the cots and bunks were full. I met a lot of new friends (new to me anyways) and got to bond with some old.

My friend that works at circuit city said I should be getting hired, so I hope that works out tomorrow, I need the cash! Adsense is great, but my sites aren't that popular lol. Speaking of which, Torrop is doing well still! Just need more people to get their hands dirty by submitting and voting! Also, Legit Torrents is growing too! I recently redesigned it, tell me what you think of the new look.

I need sleep now.

What's the Point...

All I want is for Rachelle to come back. That's all I care about right now. Sad. yes. True, yes.

So many words to say but that's the only point I have.

Please come home.

My First Digg Experience

My first Digg experience was quite a surprise to say the least. I come home from seeing a movie, with Steeltitanpro, to find my server going crazy. So I thought to myself that it must either be backing up at a time I've never told it to, or I'm being hacked. So I try to get on one of my websites, and nothing. I even try to login on the physical machine, and it's almost non-responsive. I restart it, look to see if I've lost anything, I hadn't. So I wait a few minuets, until it starts doing it again. Then I check Digg in the crazy event that one of my websites had been Dugg. Torrop was on the front page.

I was very excited that people actualy liked my site well enough as to share it with the rest of the world. But that feeling slowly faded as I realized my server was dieing. I had never thought in my wildest dreams that I would receive so much traffic all at once!

So I quickly looked for ways to try and keep the site online, but found none. So I reluctantly set up a temp page saying we had been Dugg and to come back later. I kept it up for quite a while, then tried to take it down and let the site run free again! Still, the server couldn't handle it, crazy. But a few hours later I seceded in putting it all back online and we are running fine still. From the temp page alone, this is what Google Analytics shows:

Makes the rest of my traffic look like nothing (wasn't much anyway).

Lessons Learned:

1. Sucess is sweet, but sweeter if you can handle it.
2. You never know when you will get Dugg.
3. Diggers don't click ads.

As for the future of Torrop? Thats another post, look for it!

God bless,
-Dustin (en3r0)

Sigh...

Success doesn't mean as much when the one you love isn't here to share it with you. As of this week things are going great, Torrop was on Digg, and I had a job interview. Both great things, but since Rachelle isn't here it just doesn't mean as much to me... I really just want her to come home...

It doesn't make it any easier that I don't do anything all day. I don't have a job, and I don't go to school right now either. I sit. I sit here and wish, hope, and pray that she will come back soon.

Well I did it, I finally made that collage of me and Rachelle. I think it turned out alright for just throwing some pictures on a page with out a plan for its out come.

Collage of Love

Then I decided to make a slightly different version:

Collage of Love 2

So that was my morning. She's so beautiful.

I will be leaving on Sunday October 8th, so see me before then! Rachelle is flying up to drive down with me (easier that way) so if you don't wanna see me, come see her lol!

It's Getting Tough...

Tonight I was going to make a nice college of Rachelle and I from the pictures on both our blogs (my hard drive caught on fire if u don't remember). And I just finished downloading them, but I don't think I will be able to even start making it without crying. I know it's weird, I'm a guy and all, but I honestly don't think I could do it. If it wasn't for stupid college, and still knowing I have a purpose here, I would be down there this second. I also really regret going on that camping trip, I would have loved to stay there for a month or so.

But I guess you never really realize how much you love someone until you don't have them there everyday with you. I realize now how that was so amazing. Waking up every morning to be with her... Wow.

Hopefully I will finish that collage soon.

Sorry for the rant.

I Love you Rachelle EX3

Living An Empty Life.

That's what I guess I've been doing as of recent, trying to fill time up, and really just doing nothing because there is nothing to do. Sure, I Pwn like real hard, but you can only pwn so much.

I miss Rachelle, a lot. She would never let me pwn so much, thus I wouldn't be so empty, well kind of.

God and I don't talk as much as we should, but that is going to change, well, just did.

I bring you friends, eBible! It is web 2.0 + Bible. It is really nice, I going to try and visit that site and read it every day, since it seems to be the only place I read is online.

I can see God working here in Mansfield, but my one lingering question remains, when will I be done here? I almost want it to be right now, but I don't think that's God's plan. I long to be with Rachelle, and he knows that, I just have to be patient I guess.

God bless,
-Dustin

P.S. to Rachelle: I love you more than anything in this world, you know that. I can't wait to be with you, I really can't. Forgive me for my annoying calls, but know your always on my mind.

LAN LAN LAN...

That seems to be my life recently. Having a LAN almost every night of the week, well its just usually 4 or 5 people, but I've seen sponsored LANs like that so I guess it still counts.

Rachelle is still in Florida, and I still miss her. If you'd like to write or talk to her, let me know.

College is coming up soon, hopefully it wont be too gay.

Anyone have the money to open a LAN Cafe? I'd sure like to do that... Toys R' Us isn't all it's cracked up to be so far, but oh well.

I need to get back in the word of God, I think I'll make a step toward that now.

Weeeeeee.

So we leave in 1 day for Florida, it will be interesting to say the least.

Tonight we had a going away party for Chelle at our house, and she was baptized. It was cool :) <3

And tonight, after talking to Steven Mitchel for awhile, we just kinda chilled on our computers, me playing GTA:SA Multiplayer, and her talking to a kid from myspace that lives where she will be living.

After I took her home though, around 2, I decided to work on Torrop of all projects. But guess what, it works! I am almost done with it really, I just need to do some more editing, not sure if I will mess with the template just yet, it looks alright.

Please take a look, register, and use it!

That's all for now.

God bless,
-Dustin

Oh, one more thing. Around 3ish when Torrop was starting to work, I clicked on friends and saw this:
Things are funnier at 3am

Yes, I really laughed at that. Yes, I laughed out loud.

Goodnight.

Well 1st off, we got 3rd in Dayton, people take advantage of things and give them selves an advantage... Or cheat, whatever you like to call it. Next year will be different.

And Rachelle is moving to Florida... Not for good, just until she's 18 or graduates. That's 6 months or more with out her. I guess this is the final test on our relationship, well not the final hopefully, but the final one until it perhaps becomes more... I hope. Any who, it's going to be hard, but I know we will make it through.

I need to do some more work on Legit Torrents, I haven't posted anything on there in a while.

World's Worst Internet Law Sneaking Through the Senate

"President Bush is attempting to get Republicans to end their objections and put into effect the Convention on Cybercrime. Lack of time...

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been working at UPS everyday now... It's getting old.

I may start working at Toys R' Us though. I had the interview today, and find out Monday if I got the job or not.

Dayton Lanfest this weekend people!!! After much delay, it is finally here. We (KOLT) (aka our LAN group) will be competing in the 5 v 5 Call Of Duty 2 Tournament. Hopefully we will win and bring home $400 bucks or more. It will rock!

I will defiantly be posting from Dayton to let you all know what's going on, although I may not post until a very ugly (or beautiful depending on how you look at it) hour, so look for that.

That's all for now, see you all in Dayton!

Back From New Mexico

Where to start... Well for one, you don't realize how much Ohio sucks until you get out of it. Haha. New Mexico rocked. People there are normal, have less than most of the United States, but rock. I actually became mad when it was time to leave. And all of today (when I got home home) I was confused.

I didn't want to be home, there is still work to be done there. Yes we accomplished all we wanted and much more, but there is still a lot of work to be done there spiritually. I hope to go back soon.

Mixed thoughts cont'd.

On the way home on and off I was angry, angry that I had 'stuff'. Don't get me wrong, they have stuff as well, but I guess it's just the nicer stuff that bothers me most. The way most of us throw our money around like it's nothing. As I was returning home I thought to myself that it's almost like I hate what I once loved, wanted, took for granted, thought I needed.

This is why I want to live out of my car for a few months. Just traveling around the U.S. Being a gospel mobile if you will.

As much as I resent being home, I do recognize that God has me here for a reason, and I need to do what he asks of me in Ohio.

Whew. That being said, the trip was great, and I will probably post all of the things written in my journal.

One quick highlight was that I prayed the prayer of salvation with this little girl. It went so well, so simple, only God could have done it. He is Amazing.

God bless,

Leaving Today

I leave for New Mexico today, should be fun!

I will defiantly miss Rachelle and everyone, and also this nice thing they call the internet.

While I'm down there I plan on keeping a pad of paper and writing down all my thoughts, should turn out to be interesting. I may post some parts of that when I return.

Please pray for all of us who are going. Pray that we would do God's will, and that hearts would be changed.

I can't wait to share everything with you when I return (on the 16th). All your prayers are very much appreciated.

A lot of Christian Bands go Unheard.

I've discovered that just now, I've found extensive lists of tons of 'unheard' Christian bands. I say unheard because I've never herd of most of them. And I'm quite sure most of them don't have recording contracts, although some are that good. But I view this as a good thing, I despise the RIAA. Hopefully the future wont consist of them.

Any way, here is one band I found that was really good, so I'm going to share them with you!

They call themselves SAINTMAYBE. Apparently they play shows down in the south, they look like some good shows from the pictures, here's one from their site (linked in case they ever want to remove it, not to be mean):

Please stop by their website, and listen to a few of their songs.

Get it while its hot!

So I didn't have power for a few days, so sorry if you needed to access things on the sites.

Today Rachelle and Alex and (everyone else basically) left for the Kentucky missions trip. It was sad to say good-bye, but I did. It's a lot worse sitting here knowing I wont see her for what will seem like forever. She really does mean a lot to me. But distance makes the heart grow fonder as they say (thanks Grandma! Haha). And I'm sure that God is going to do amazing things with all of them down there this week as well.

Also, kind of weird, missing having little brother around... Wanted to play a game with him, but he's gone too.

UPS is up in the air right now, wandering if I'm going to be on call all the time. If so, it's new job time.

I'm addicted to this new game called Slave Hack now, it was on Digg the other day.

And another game you might actually find interesting called Zwok.

Oh, if you like you can digg my previous post.

That's about it for now, time to play some more Slave Hack before I get to bed. :)

Left Behind - No Spyware, Just the Future of In-Game Advertisement

A recent article on Digg (written by Technica) tires to convince people that the innovative in-game advertisement software in the game Left Behind, is spyware. It clearly is not. From the article:

"The game comes fully loaded with what some would term built-in spyware, in the form of in-game advertising that tracks the amount of time ads are seen, how often the game is played, and the player's geographical and personal information."

They say that some would term.

From Dictionary.com "spyware - (Or "adware") Any type of software that transmits information without the user's knowledge." I'm sure if you read that fine print when your installing, it will tell you about it there.

Even this quote by Double Fusion, quoted in their article, explains that it isn't:

"All Double Fusion campaigns provide detailed campaign reporting for full accountability, and, unlike other media, advertisers only pay for the time their ads are seen...unlike TV, unlike the web, and unlike print. No medium is more accountable and measurable in terms of the actual time spent with advertising."

"Double Fusion's In-Game Ad Engine is a software component that gamer developers insert in their games. The Ad Engine is the seamless interface between the game and the advertiser servers, and works as a broker between the two, calling advertising creative elements as needed, providing them to the game to be displayed as ads in the game, and tracking impressions and views and reporting back to the advertising management servers."

This is just simply great news for the gaming community. Why? Because this could mean lower costs for games. Also, as it becomes more common, good news for open source games as well. This could provide a way for them to step into the arena and compete better with major studios.

Also, they wrote in their article, "...surveys of gamers show that advertising in games is effective and generally unobtrusive if done properly..."

The advertising in Left Behind is a good thing, and hopefully a sign of things to come. I can't wait to see it in action.

I Heart Bit Torrent.

I love Bit Torrent. I just do. I also love LAMP (I doubt anyone that usually reads my blog will really get that) . I have a plan in my head I'm working out on how companies can embrace this new technology. More on that later.

Tonight A bunch of people and myself watched DOOM at Dan's house. It wasn't a bad movie like most people said, brought back some old memories of playing the game. That was when I was just a little n00b.

I remember the first real game (and one of the best) was Battle Zone for PC. I think it was only offered with Gateway machines for a while, a shame the limited a great game to a crappy company. But I can't complain, it was a PC. Good news is some people actually still play this game, (made around '95) and are also working on recreating it as an open source project. I think limited beta testing will start this summer/fall. Here is the site (look in the forums for more information on their project).

So that's about it other than I'm going to do a bit of work on the server for Virtenu.

Good night.

God bless,
-Dustin

Pshhhh...

So here some updates on life:

-Graduated, was alright, I'm still alive.
-Sleeping in, lots of fun!
-New Game Project with Brice (Wally) and people, about 6 of us on the team now, rocks.
-I Love Rachelle, she keeps me physically alive, or else I would rot where I sit.
-God is good, you'll never know how good until you really know him.

Other than that, its been easy goin'. Oh, the story I put on here about the stolen sidekick, it generated about 500+ hits. That's more than this little old blog has ever seen! For a good cause too.

That's all for now, I'll try to update more often!

God bless,

How NOT to steal a Sidekick

"These guys not only kept the Sidekick they found in a taxi in NYC, but then took pics of their whole family with it as well as signing on to AOL. Note: I know this is on my own website, but I have no ads and am not making any money on this. NO outside links on this page other than to these people's info."

Whew...

Didn't think I'd make it, but I have. I have finished High School. Graduation is this Sunday, along with too many grad parties. But free food is always a plus!

The LAN (The Pwn Zone) this weekend went better than expected, we had about 70+ people attend! Yes, that does rock! So I'm quite sure we will be doing it again sometime, so our new website it up. You can view it here. No domain name yet, but I'm looking into it.

Memorial Day was hard though, since I went to sleep about 7:30 am lol. But it was fun, went swimming with Chelle and stuff. I think we are going to go again today after she gets of work.

I have a tour thing at UPS tomorrow morning at 6:00 am, fun. But that's ok, it should be a really nice job. My last day at Cracker Barrel is Thursday, I'll miss some people, but life goes on right?

I don't think I'll actually miss too many people from School, sure some, but not as many as I will from Church. That will hurt the most. But We have holidays, and many people come home then, so that is a very good thing :).

Time to eat before I go pick up Rachelle.

10 Open Source Projects that Could Use a Boost

Below are 10 open source projects that I think could use a little help.

10. Plane Shift - Does the world really need another MMO? Not at all, but the world does need one that is open source. I haven’t played this game since its pre-alpha days, but I know it is getting better. Once it gets to a more complete stage, I think we will start to see many projects branch from it and hopefully bring about even more of a change in the way companies see open source software.

9. GIMP - Sure GIMP is getting closer to being just like PhotoShop, but why not have it be better? This is one key program for having designers make this shift to a Linux based desktop; at least I know it is for me.

8. Pligg - A Digg-like CMS that aims to, well, be like Digg. They are still in Beta (as is the trend now days) and still have a lot of bugs to work out.

7. Battelzone Second Edition - There is no doubt that BZ was an amazing game, no matter what you played it on. This project aims to reproduce the version for the PC. Personally it is the best game I have ever played. There is a lot of help needed, so please see if you can lend a hand.

6. Joomla - This is a great CMS from the people who created Mambo. They have a great version out right now, but I would like to see them capture the 'web 2.0' wave and add Ajax functionality to it, among other things.

5. Gaim - Down with all those stupid ads! Gaim is a great all-in-one messenger, but still has some work to do on getting all those features to work, and to keep track of the updates for all those messengers.

4. Wine - Many people, including myself, complain about not having their windows applications (games) able to run on Linux. Well that is why Wine exists, but it's still not at a 1.0 release. I would love to see this project developed faster.

3. Open Office - A great alternative to Microsoft word. Hopefully it will give people another reason to switch to Linux. It would be great if it was better than MS Word though.

2. Linux - The kernel to be specific. With the release of 2.6 people are noticing more bugs. This is good because they are being found, but we don't want to turn into Microsoft.

1. Ubuntu - This Linux distro is taking the world by storm. If there was ever a time is take people from Microsoft, the time is now. With MS delaying Vista even more, and Dapper Drake on the horizon, it's now more than ever that they have a change to become the corporation they want to be, and they have my full support.

There you have it, 10 open source projects that could use your help. I hope you will take a look at them and see what you can do.

God bless,
-Dustin

So Youth Group is rockin', had a great time of worship on Wednesday. D2S this year will rock as well!

I also decided it was time to change the layout, so I did. :)

The Poop heard 'Round the World.

Had Chipotle today, it was good.

So I had a typical Chipotle dump earlier, and the bad gas started right on time this evening.

But something unusual happened for my midnight poop tonight. It was horrible. My butt hole is not happy, and as Brice would say, "My anus is angry." It was the kind of poop that comes out soft, unfinished. Kind of like under-cooked pizza dough. And it comes out half way and leaves it's better half clogging your glorious exit.

And so I kept pushing like any normal being would, but even though it felt like there was more, there simply wasn't. I kept going on for what seemed like forever, and then I herd a drop of something hit the ground. Pee? No. Sweat? No. It was a tear, my eyes were now watering heavily. So I decided to give it up and wipe for a year. When I stood up I was dizzy, so then I named it, "The poop heard 'round the world."

I'm glad you could enjoy this experience with me through the art of text.

On to more normal things. Had people over tonight, didn't want to, but it turned out being alright.

I Love Chelle, and I realize it more and more each day. Today I was sitting down watching her make a smore, and just realizing how beautiful she is, and I thank God for her. She is the best girl in the entire would.

Virtenu, good stuff coming along real soon, so keep watch.

The Pwn Zone, I'm working on that more as well, again, I keep you updated.

Today was Good.

Today I got out early, took Chelle to get things done (they will work out babe), gota hair cut (pictures later), and ate a huge buritto from Chipotle (yes, pictures later).

This weekend I will be gone on the Youth Group ski trip. It should be lots of fun, just wish Chelle was going too... I hope she still has fun with people here.

Surgeym.com was officaly announced tonight at Church. I'm praying that it gets used. Steve set up a thing where if you register with in 2 weeks you get free pizza and pop, hopefully that will get people online.

I guess there comes a point(s) in life where you just realize what matters. The main thing being God, and the 2ed for me is Rachelle. She is the best girlfriend anyone could ask for.

So I guess Chris, me, and a few others are starting a business. I'm taking care of the web design part. It will be sweet if we get business. Cracker Barrel is alright... I guess lol, but if that could be my main source of income, I'd like that much more. We'll see.

Good night.

Youth Group should be good tomorrow, I think it will be a serious night... That seems good to me right now. I'm praying for the guys I eat lunch with, I want them to come out.

Rachelle rox my sox, and I love her to death. EX3

That's all for tonight, time for a few hours sleep.

Life Rocks.

Today was a good day. Church was good :). Then my Dad and Chelle and I all went and helped my Grandma put her new stuff in her house, because my Grandpa broke his foot awhile back. Of course it had to be this real nice wood hutch and table and chairs. Needless to say, it was heavy. We got it all in the house, and put up the stairs, except the top to the hutch, which weighed in at a whopping 4 million pounds.

Then tonight we has a ministry meeting at Steve's house. It was inspiring. I'm thinking of be coming a camp counselor this summer at Camp Burton. Chelle said she had thought of it too, along with Jon and Catilin. That would be really cool if we all did that.

I work tomorrow night, boo. I really dislike having a job. But has Danny has helped me see, God has me there for a reason. There is a person I work with that is really eager to know more about God, but Danny no longer sees him. I guess that would be a good reason for why I am there!

My birthday is this Thursday, I'll be 19... Seems so old, but really such a big deal to me for some reason.

I now have working forums on Surgeym.com. Now I need to figure out how to get the domain transferred from this company (I think they bought it when they designed the first page), and also redo the template to better fit forums or find a new one.

Me and Chris were talking about, "The Pwn Zone." What it would be is a LAN once or twice every month at the Church. It would be a great way to reach out to all those people who wouldn't come out for other things. It wouldn't just be people we knew either, we would advertise it many places, even online. Hopefully we would get at least 30 - 40 people the first time, and I'm pretty sure that's more than enough to have some companies sponsor the event! I'm excited to get that together.

Rachelle and I are very happy. I don't think that's any thing new, but it's true and I thought I'd let you know. EX3

Night all.

Beep.

Today I took the day off and took Chelle to Canton. She had an orthodontist appointment among other things. It was nice not to go to that stupid waste of time.

Poop, brb.

Ah much better.

So I was working on Virtenu tonight. Got the mail sending function to work, uses sendmail (Big thanks to Ryan Young for his help as always). Hopefully I will get to work on those forums this weekend (explained).

God is good, I was thinking today about what my life would be like if I had no purpose. I realized that it would be worse than anything. Just to live, thinking there is nothing beyond death, just blah. It would be horrible.

Friday school tomorrow that should be fun... But then there's a lan, we might go.

Headache.

God bless,

Eh.

Well, the past two days have been filled with work related things. Not much fun... Ok, no fun at all. But I guess I need to do it.

Tomorrow is Wensday, and that means Youth Group! I'm excited. I'm also going to the Doctor to get my ear checked out, it's killing me.

I need some sleep, I'm getting sick. When I'm better then I can get to do some real work.

God bless,

Life is good

I'm looking forward to the future. Rachelle and I are in love, God and I are in love. Hopefully this job won't be so bad. Only Chelle and my family know about me having one, so this will tell me if you read my blog or not, haha.

I'm really hoping to get some work done on Bandipedia soon, hopefully that will take off. But first I need to add some forums to the Youth Group's website.

I will be in Canton most of the day Thursday. Rachelle has an orthodontist appointment early in the morning. Good to have a day off from school!

Well, time to go dream of ideas for Virtenu now, tata. Oh, if anyone knows how to make what I think are being called, "movable widgets?" e here, let me know.

God bless,
-Dustin
